We’re going to need a bigger drink…
Meet Frankie
After leaving Twatface – her husband of twenty years – she’s starting again from scratch.
With her brilliant son, Jay, off to university, she’s even getting used to the empty nest – often popping over to best friend Bel’s for a sneaky smoke in the shed, just like old times.
But when Twatface moves in with his suspiciously new girlfriend, the betrayal cuts deep, and Frankie decides to concoct a plan for living her best new life.
Step one: Find an income. Having recently opened her very own quilting shop, Frankie drums up business by starting a crafting group. But God knows if anyone will actually turn up…
Step two: Sign up for dating apps: one for love, another for casual hook-ups (because why the hell not?!)
However, as Frankie navigates this new frontier of catfishing, kittenfishing, ghosts, DILFs and everything in between, she realises the whole dating thing has changed quite a bit – and it really is a bloody jungle out there.
Meet Stef
Stefan’s brought his i-Pad to Frankie’s sewing group – a Hotbed of Quilters – so his Slovakian mum Gita can attend remotely, due to a dodgy hip. He’s engaged to be married but he hits it off big time with Frankie…
Will Frankie find love on the apps or in real life? Or the perfect shag? Or – if there’s any justice in the world – both?!
Divorced Not Dead is a no-holds-barred, heartfelt and laugh-out-loud hilarious romcom about being fifty, divorced and getting back on the horse – perfect for fans of Alexandra Potter, Marian Keyes and Jane Fallon.

Beautiful Lincoln, where Frankie’s shop is found on Steep Hill in the cathedral quarter.
Suzie’s Sewing Studio, where I researched sewing groups and quilting techniques. Suzie is a fantastic seamstress and was a brilliant help with my research into quilting. You can buy her beautiful handmade clothes here.
